My internet wont connect to the internet!
Well ,i turned of the internet and then turned it back on a like a minute later n my laptops internet works fine but my parents computers can but every time you turn it on you have to go to connection thingy and right click n click repair and my brother cant even connect to it even when u click repair it stops at the renewing the ip adresss
does anyone know how to fix it?
n i don't want to call a technician to fix it.

Ok what you need to do is go on the laptop and open up command prompt (Start>run> type "cmd" no quotation marks) and type in "ipconfig" (no quotation marks) and it will give you an ip address similar to: 192.168.0.1, as well as other information make a note of all of this. Now on the computer that can't connect to the internet open network connections and right click the connection you want to use and go on properties. Scroll to the very bottom of the list to "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) select it then click properties. select "Use the following IP address" and fill in the detail from before but change the last number of the IP address to the one above it (if it ends in 1 type in 2). Then fill in the DNS options with router IP, the IP address from above but ending in one. Hope it helps.
