Keyboard trouble

Keyboard trouble
Hi & seaon greetings to all
my son has been given a logiteck keyboard.
He is unable to use the @ key which is situated on the top line with the nu,bers. He can how ever press the " key which is situated on the 2nd row of the letters and near to thereturn key.
I have heard there is someway that you can change this so it conforms correctly.
Any helpers out there?

is the keyboard set up for the correct country?

For starters; (This will provide a "thorough Windows" elimination of the problem resolve. Then further prospects can be explorered.)
Open Device Manager. (Start, Run, devmgmt.msc)
Dbl-Click on Keyboards.
Dbl-Click on the top listed keyboard (if more than one).
Under the General tab, click on Troubleshoot.
Follow the prompts. If more than one keyboard is listed, follow the above procedure for each keyboard, down the list, in succession.
Post back with your results and any further questions.

if you're in the UK is it a UK keyboard?
did the keyboard have a driver disc?
try left Alt/Shift
Or go Start - Settings - Control Panel - Regional and Language Options - Languages - Details - and check it's set for English UK keyboard
