Ive had the problem of my freeserve/wanadoo now orange mail account being spammed.
I need to access this mail to retrieve a password for a service, then I can ignore the account.
When Ive tried to access the account, but once Ive started to download the 26000 odd emails, I recive roughly around 25000 and the OE freezes up.
Orange help ( on their home page) reccomended opening up my mail through a mail reader on their homepage, which I did.
This allowed me to delete around 100 messages, but after that I kept getting a ' server is busy, please try again in a few minutes' message.
I tried to access the mail again the following day, but instead of being greeted by @ 25000 odd messages, there where 2 messages from that day.
Problem solved I thought, so I accessed the service I required, requested my password to be sent to my email addy, and then waited, and waited, and waited. I tried requesting the P/Word again and again, but recieved no emails.
I then tried to email my ISP account from my hotmail account, but just kept getting any messages returned with 'Delivery to the following recipients failed' messages.
I can however mail from this account.
Does any one have any suggestions before I attempt to speak to someone in a call centre in asia regarding this problem?
I have google searched the problem, by so far returned nothing of help, and Ive not yet changed any account settings, so everything should be as set up by freeserve etc.

[2] Go to accounts
[3] Tick "Always connect"
[4] Click "OK" & click "close"
