    Insane memory usage

I'm not really sure if this question belongs here... I use Firefox for my browser, and lately when I use it, it uses an insane amount of my computers memory. For example, google takes about 35k, and right now with hotmail and this page its near 100k... I'm not sure why its doing this, its also taking up 100% of my CPU...

I just installed McAfee too, I don't know if thats significant but I've never had this problem before, and if it is the McAfee I want to get my money back.

    Thanks

Some of the big suites are well known to consume lots of resources, but not 100%. Did this problem start right after installing McAfee?

Yeah, it started about the same time that I installed McAfee, I never noticed this amount of lag before then.

Well, I would be tempted to uninstall, check it, reinstall McAfee and see what happens. Just don't start using the Internet without a good defense running.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
McAfee is well known to run a lot of processes in the background, and its pretty interface comes at a cost of more memory. If it is a free version, try downloading AVG Anti Virus or Avast! Anti virus and see how they run on your machine. If you paid for it, I say run this up McAfee's behind on their forums, they would probably have more of an insight to the problem.
