Mobile Broadband
I have just connected my Laptop to the Internet using T Mobile Broadband. (I am in the UK)
The speed at which web pages appear is painfully slow and seem worse that the old dial-up connections used to be. The Laptop was new in September from Dell and has Vista as its operating system and Macafee as the anti-virus system.
I have downloaded Firefox as my browser but that has not helped and I appear to be unable to download and run add-ons to it like Flash viewer.
Any suggestions as to what I might do to improve things. I suspect that it is my laptop that is the problem rather than the Broadband connection but I am sorely lacking in expertise in this area!
Identifying the problem is a major stumbling block as without knowing what is causing it to run so slow I can't look for a solution.

I have moved on since then as T Mobile have canceled the contract as they do not have a good signal in the area (having been told they have).
I now have O2 installed but what a nightmare. It keeps asking for user names and passwords none of which were created at any time. It also continually disconnects which often entails a reboot to gte back on!
There appears to be no helpline number either. Will have to try re-installing it I think but not sure that will make things any better.
Why can't life be simple?
