When somebody from my Contacts list in hotmail sends me a message with an attached photo, hotmail automatically opens the picture within the message. With large pictures, the display can be 3 screens wide, requiring use of the horizontal scroll bar to see the both the picture and the text (very annoying). Text doesn't wrap when there is a wide picture.

Images can be suppressed for messages from people not in my contact list, but not for my "friends". In all cases the images are available as attachments that can be downloaded. Is there any way to suppress the display of pictures for all emails? Alternately, I would be happy to have the image size constrained to a single screen width.

I could use IE's Advanced Internet Options to turn off pictures, but that turns off images for all browsing, not a desirable side effect. Similarly, I don't want to go to a PC based email client. I want to keep everything on the Hotmail server and access it from several PCs.

Thanks,

Ricebread.
