Internet problems
Okay well my computer is connected to a modem outside in the living room and recently I either keep getting d/ced or I have to keep refreshing my Firefox page to load a page. Why is this? I want to get it fixed. I've tried turning my modem off for a while and yeah but it still doesn't work. My ISP is sbc if you need to know.

Is this PC Wireless or Wired, and Sorry, not familiar with SBC as a ISP, but I'm assuming that this is a broadband Cable Modem?

ok, are there more then 1 pc's in the house? If so, do they experience the same problems as the wireless pc?
I'm assuming that you have a cable modem which plugs into your wireless router, correct? if so, next time you experience diffiulty, only power cycle one of them, preferably the router 1st. If this corrects you issue, problem may be with the router. If that is not a fix, try power cycling the modem (if its a modem trouble you will be experiencing these problems on everything pc in house.) But if its your modem causing problems, call your ISP.
Back to the router, if you believe it to be that, there can be many things that interfere with the routers communication between it and the wireless device, maybe log into it and change the broadcast channel to a different one, usually channel 6 is the default, maybe try channel 1 or 12.
