Hello guys/***s!

For some odd reason everytime I open my browser "IE 7" it stop responding (hangs ups). Any thoughts? It doesn't matter what site I am on it just hangs up.

This is typically caused by a wayward, or 2 or more conflicting 3rd-party BHOs. Fortunately, IE7 makes them easy to manage. BHOs (browser helper object) are also known as add-ons, and typically come in the form of added features (IEPro, IESpell, Java, Windows Messenger) and toolbars (Google or Yahoo Toolbars).

There are two ways to approach this:

1. Go to Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Disable Add-ons and ensure Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer is in the drop down menu, then disable each add-on one at a time. You should restart IE (close all sessions) after each change, then test.

or,

2. Reset IE7 by going to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Read what it says about Reset, then press button. If you need an add-on after that, it will be a fresh install with the latest version - AND only the minimum number of features needed.

i had this problem on my old computer i never fixed it but i found a way around it i just ran it as administrator and it let me use it

Thanks Mitch. So that was a different user account on the same computer?

For now I just reset I.E #7. I will post something if it happens again, thanks.
