Hello all. I've been having some issues getting Java to work. After I had a virus problem I decided to update my Java since I had a couple of fairly old versions installed. I proceeded to uninstall them via the control panel then I installed the latest version. Unfortunately Java won't work at all now. Even though I repeatedly installed and re-installed Java it doesn't activate when I try to access pages that use it. This happens both with IE and Firefox. When I tried to access the Java icon in the control panel XP would tell me that a registry key for one of the old versions I had uninstalled was missing. I tried to re-install the old version in question, but to no avail. Then I downloaded JavaRa, which removed all prior versions of Java, herein the aforementioned Java icon in the control panel, but Java still refuses to work.
