Printing part of a web page, including graphics.

    Hi everyone.

I am driving from Portsmouth to Dumfries on Friday. Having looked at the rout planner, I tried to print it off. The directions where printed in small print down the center of the page, (TO small for my wife to read whilst travelling), with wide margins where the web page side bars would normally be.

I tried to save the directions to a word document so I could make the print bigger, but the graphics weren't there.

I would like to know if it is possible to print the directions, plus the directional graphics, ( arrows, roundabout, and warning graphics) across a whole A4 page, and adjust print size so it would be readable whilst travelling.

Please, if anyone can help, I would be most grateful.
    All the best Gary.

What printer? Does everything else print fine?

    Does preview look good?

    I am so sorry Digerati.

    PRINTER:- Epson stylus D88.

The print preview shows the wide margins, where the web page side bars would normally be, blank, and the directions down the centre. Which is how it prints.

I hope this is of some help.
    Thanks for replying.
    ATB Gary.

Well, only some. I asked before if everything else prints fine? Can you print other documents, photos, web pages fine? Or is it just maps that mess up? Did you try a different map program? Is it printing in the correct orientation - that is, landscape or portrait mode?

Sorry for delay. Been to Dumfries. Now back.

Everything prints fine, except web pages. All I would like to print is the information that is typed down the center of the web page, but I want it printed the full width of my A4 page.

I guess I am not certain what the problem is yet - is it acting like "zoom" is enabled and you are only seeing a section of the full screen?

    Does print preview appear correctly?

In "print preview" I see the text down the center of the page with very wide margins where the web page side bars should be.

I am sorry for not being very clear. I find it hard to explain on paper. I apreciate the time you are spending on me.

No problem - it is always hard to explain a problem in an area that you are not an expert on. And it does not help that I am not an expert on printing.

Okay, then in Page Settings, do the margins and paper size settings look right?

In "PAGE SETUP" everything is correct.

And by correct, you mean it is set to A4, Portrait, all the margins are around 1.0 - give or take a 1/2 inch or so, and the correct printer is identified in the Printer page, right?

On the Preview Page, what is in the Shrink to Fit drop down box?
