I am having problems getting onto internet with pc. The broadband goes to a wireless router then back to the pc via rj45 cable and ethernet adaptor. The wireless part is working fine but the pc isn't. Have changed ethernet adaptor but to no avail
any ideas?

I'm not quite understanding your explanation of your network setup. Could you please try and explain more clearly so I can try and help. For example, I'd explain my setup as:

Phone Line > Router > Ethernet Cable > My Computer.

My phone line is connected to my Router providing the broadband connection and my computer is connected to the Router via an Ethernet Cable.

My setup is like this
Phone line > router > ethernet cable > ethernet adaptor >PC
The problem is I'm not getting internet connection on the PC

Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard.

Type cmd in the run box and hit enter.

Type ipconfig /all >"C:\log.txt"

Upload the file log.txt from the root of your C:\ drive to D-A-L by clicking the Post Reply button in this thread, scrolling down to Manage Attachments and browsing for and uploading the file.

This file simply tells me information about your current internet connection so that I can hopefully spot any errors.

Have found out what the problem was. It was windows update KB951748 conflicting with firewall and it is now back to normal
