IE error message
When I visit certain websites (ksl.com) I keep getting an error message that says IE needs to shut down. It experienced an error. It doesn't give anything specific. It only happens on a couple of sites, so I'm not sure what is going on. There is no malware, etc. I had another thread going:

Is it always the same web sites?
Are you doing anything else such as downloading?
This error can often be site related rather then user related.
Event Viewer

Check your Event Viewer via Administrative Tools.
Open the System as well as Application tabs and look for red X errors that coincide with your problem. Details here:
How to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
Basic information on Event Viewer errors can be found here: EventID.Net

It is always the same site, and it doesn't matter if I'm downloading anything or not. I am not usually doing anything else except surfing the web. I don't think it is site related because I don't have the same problem on another computer.
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down."
This is what I found when doing the event thing:
Application: Source = Application Error
Event = 1000
System: Source = Dhcp
Event = 1002

If it is always the same site and only that site the site is probably the cause.
Or some specific fault with that site and your IE or firewall settings.
Did you check your Event Viewer?
Also think of any differences between your computer and other computers.
What version of IE?
What firewall?
What ISP?
etc.
Man it's hot in Utah!

Also get the latest versions of Flash and Java.
There is a lot of web content on a page like that.
I would also remove all toolbars and BHO's. I have asked Neal for further advice on the BHO issue.
You have a lot of "stuff" running on that computer. All those 04 entries are automatic startups.
Again this is something I would address but would wait for any advice Neal might offer.

Thanks. I'll wait for Neal's input. I realize there is a lot of "stuff/crap." I'm just not sure what is safe to remove. I updated Java. It is still only a couple of sites this is happening on. Although, it will sporadically happen when I'm in Yahoo! mail.

Do you have IE 7?
Neal suggested a Defrag but advised against altering active BHO's.
I would continue monitoring your Event Viewer after every problem just to see if there is a coincidental error recorded.
