    Proxy server

    Hi,
    I was wondering if someone could tell me how to setup a proxy server. I would like to surf the net with more privacy. I use Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 and FireFox 3 RC3. I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 using Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1. I am pretty good with computers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You can either use software such as Steganos Internet Anonym Pro.

    Or if you have the IP Address of the HTTP Proxy you wish to use, head to Internet Explorer. Click Tools> Internet Options. Go to Connections tab. Click LAN Settings. Check "Use a proxy server" box. Enter IP address in address box, leave port as port 80 unless otherwise stated. Click Ok.

    Go to http://www.whatismyip.com to check if your IP is the proxy IP to check it is setup correctly.
