Wireless keeps disconnecting
Hello Lovely DAL folk :-)
When I bring my laptop over to my girlfriends house and try to surf the net using a wireless connection (Sky Broadband Netgear router) it keeps disconnecting after 5 minutes and I have to keep re-connecting - very annoying.
Any ideas?

Does she have problem with the connection dropping on a wirelessly connected PC? Does your laptop work fine connecting to other wireless networks? Have you tried the simple unplugging and plugging the router back in fix?
Also, are you situated a long way from the router.

Hello Owen and thanks for answering my question.
My girlfriends PC doesn't have wireless capability so I can't test that I also don't have the opportunity to test my laptop on other networks. I tried the router unplugging fix but it hasn't made a difference.

It's really hard to establish what the problem could be without knowing whether it's the router or the laptop. I'm afraid I don't know what to suggest if you can't try the laptop on another network and diagnose whether it a problem with the router.
Also, where is the router situated in relation to you? Like for me, wireless router is situated on a table of the room directly underneath mine on 1st floor with a bunk bed on one side and empty space on the other.
