Can't access certain websites after installed Kaspersky in Windows Vista

    Hello friends,

From my windows Vista, after I installed Mozilla Firefox and Kaspersky, I can't access some websites (not all) even Yahoo. I have another computer and I installed the same Kaspersky software also firefox, I tried to compare all the configuration between two computers, they are the same. So, I don't know if this problem occured because Vista; Firefox or Kaspersky.
Can anyone help me please? Thank you so so so much.

    Mint

On that Vista machine, can you access those sites with IE? How do you connect to the Internet?

    Hello Digerati,
    Thank you for your replied.
I am using Mozilla. I couldn't access from IE either.
It will let me access for little short while. and then not on again.
As I descried up there. I checked the other machine and the configuration is the same, but this machine running XP. I don't know if it is because of Vista???? Personally, I don't like Vista. Too much trouble. Not friendly use.

I saw and understood that. I asked about IE because if neither works, that pretty much eliminates the problem being a FF issue.

Oh? That's not good. You did not say that before. So the problem is getting progressively worse?

As I descried up there. I checked the other machine and the configuration is the same
Umm, ok. I did read your post.

Since you can connect the Internet and access some sites with this machine, and since both machines are not acting the same way, the other machine's configuration is not significant. But even so, there really is no such thing as two identically configured computers - even two coming off the assembly line together become unique systems within minutes of first power up. And you said one is XP and the other is Vista. I suspect both don't have identical hardware either.

Now what is important is what you have not told us. Did you go through Leo's suggestions? Look at the other links? If there is something there you don't understand, just let us know.

And another important detail not addressed is, once again, how do you connect to the Internet?

Have you done a complete scan for malware? If so, with what? What security applications do you use on this machine?

    When did the problem start?

I don't know if it is because of Vista???? Personally, I don't like Vista. Too much trouble. Not friendly use.
It's not Vista's fault. As far as not being user friendly, most things that are not what we are used to do seem foreign at first.

    Hi Digerati,
The reason I said it doesn't apply to my issue because the software is for Windows 2000 and XP.
I am using Kaspersky internet security.

    Sorry - you are right.

First thing I would do is clear the cache by deleting all your temporary Internet files and cookies. Then check out. http://download-microsoft-vista.com/...es-with-vista/
