    Slower Than Dial-up!!!!

hi, im running windows xp home ed with sp2, and i am on a wireless network......a few days ago my interent slowed down dramatically and im not really sure why(it could have been something i downloaded but i can't remember) It has been working on and off now for the past few days but i talked to the person who manages the network and he said he didn't do anything that might have caused the change so im not sure what happened.....all i know is that every page takes longer to load than it would on dial-up!!....some pages once i have them loaded up tend to go a little faster but not much....I have ran virus checks, spyware, malware programs and nothing seems to fix the problem any suggestions?

P.S. It took about 5 mins just to load the main forum page of this site.....

    Thanks for the help

    Charlie

Try cleaning up your PC using CCleaner (formerly known as Crap Cleaner)

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
    System Restore
    --------------------------------------------------
You might try a System Restore to a point prior to your problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

    If that does not help:

    HijackThis
    --------------------------------------------------
Please read THIS and after completing the steps outlined post a HijackThis log over in that section along with a brief description of your problem.

Do not post HijackThis logs in this section please.
