Wireless connection Receiving but not sending packets
Hi All,
Thank you so much in advance for your help...i'm super glad there are people like you willing to impart their wisdom to lost computer souls like me!
I'm afraid i don't know much about computers, enough to get the basics. The problem started after my first Belkin router broke down. I unattached it and after being sent a new one reinstalled it without uninstalling the first. It didn't work initially but after reinstalling the belkin adapter and tweaking things a bit, i managed to get the wireless signal.
It was then that i realised the conection, although working, seemed a little more slow than with the first router. Checking the status I realised it was sending but not receiving packets. I now have a Netgear router which I installed ok and is working fine. However the problem has persisted and packets are still not being sent.
Its slowed down further, more noticable in multiple tabs or windows. I've tried switching off the Avast firewall and Windows security firewall but with no change.
However, when I connect the ethernet cable from the router back to the computer, packets are sent and received.
I'm really stuck now
and not sure what to do next. Would really appreciate any input frm you guys!
Thanks again!

how far away is your computer from the router? Sounds like signal issues.
