Unable to make Wireless connection in 98SE

    Hi All,

Have sons Win98SE desktop pc and am trying to connect wirelessly to the internet via a Buffalo cable Router and a Safecom USB adaptor.
Already connect wirelessly to the router (now via wireless lan card) with my XP loaded pc and usb adaptor worked fine on that pc and on previously tried laptops.

I have installed the appropriate WIN98SE driver for the adaptor and the utility program finds a connection to the router however I cannot connect to internet!

I've set the router up with 64-bit WEP but there is no sign of anything asking to sign on, only seen a message asking to connect to previous WEP setting, press ok then connects to router.

I have also tried ticking the box to allow autoconnection via Windows but no joy.

It will be much appreciated if anyone with the knowledge (and patience! lol) would help?

    Cheers.
