I'm trying to burn a dvd using nero.

I'm using Memorex dvd+r's. Nero transcoded the files but then it says "insert blank disc'" so i put the dvd in and it won't read it.

Any ideas?

How old is the DVD burner, and what colour are the disc's your trying to burn too..

I have had similar problems with a burner before and it turned out that only certain manufacturers blank disc's would work because of the shade of foil used in the CD's..

Also, make sure and double check that if your using a DVD+/- drive that your not accidentally telling it to burn in DVD -R mode, as this would also cause it to probably not recognize the DVD +R

I have a Compaq Presario 6000 which is about 4 years old. The color of the disc is a bluish purple.
