Google giving me VERY ODD click thru results
I have a new computer here about 3 days old, Vista premium, with ie7, did all window updates too btw, I also have norton internet security 10.1.0.26 going which is also fully updated and has all sorts of checkboxes to catch stuff (checked them all and did a full scan even) nothing found hummm.
Here is the problem, when I use google.com to search for something - today I was searching for "Orange Zebra Cichlid Fish" for instance, I get google results that all look to be about what I want etc.
But when I click the result to read more it seems to take me to random goofy off the wall sites.
For example I searched for that term above, and saw this find from google
Fish Profile for Red Zebra, Orange Zebra (Metriaclima estherae)Scientific Name(s): Metriaclima estherae. Common Name(s): Red Zebra, Orange Zebra. Family: Cichlidae. Species Type: African Cichlids, Lake Malawi ...

Seemed right to me so I clicked it to view the page, BUT it took me to
http://www.wildorchidcollection.com some goofy bedding store online, I tried this with a few different searches and results, the results look accurate but when I click them I get FUNKY off the wall other random sales sites vs the site I clicked on.
Is this some sort of virus or something? Heck I have only had this thing a few days, and havent even done much google searching (maybe 10 total?) My old system had win xp and ie6, and I was only using avg free antivirus, yet I never had an issue with google like I have with this new vista premium with ie7 and full norton program running.
I can use yahoo.com search fine, just when i go to google.com and search (even manually typing that in vs it being my homepage set which i did go into tools and confirmed it was still set to google.com) I get the results yet the site it points to (after clicking it) is not even close to the site google showed me as a result hit.
Thanks for any help on this, I much prefer to use google, and never had a problem with my old xp system running ie6, so this is just frustrating...

Thanks for the reply the more I thought about it I figured I musta got something like a browser hijacking or something, but odd it happened so fast after a new pc, when for yrs never had much trouble on my other system.
Anyways I ran adaware se (older version) and it found some "possible browser attacks" and i clicked them and hit delete. Seems to have worked no more issues, should I still run tht hijack this?

I would. The Pros in that section know how to read those logs and spot any problems.
