    Driver for internet...HELP

I reformatted my C drive and reinstalled Windows XP.
I tried to connect to the internet but it wouldn't connect.
The LAN and high speed internet under network connections has dissappeared!
I rang my ISP but they said that it is a problem on my end.

I am guessing I need to install a driver, but where do i get this from?

I seriously need this sorted out as i am working from home tomorrow and need the internet to work.

My computer is XP SP2 OEM.

    Thanks

    Hi and welcome to D-A-L

is your network card built into the motherboard?

do you connect through a router or straight to the modem?

power down the PC and restart see if it finds the network card

try Start >> Run type cmd >> enter ipconfig /all at the prompt then hit the enter button does it show any network card?

hi, im not sure whether the network card is build into the motherboard
If the network connection is built into the motherboard, it will be located in the rear I/O (input/output) panel - that's the rectangular panel in the back of the PC where you connect your mouse, keyboard, printer and other things. The LAN/network connection is often clustered with a couple USB ports. On a tower, this I/O panel is usually right below the power supply.

If your network connection is by an add-in card, the connection will be located in one of the expansions slots on the bottom end of the tower.
