anti virus updates !!!!!

    anti virus updates !!!!!

    i have been using avg 7.5 antivirus
    i update daily but i don't know where these updates get saved or do they ever get saved in my computer
    can anybody tell me?

    First, I had to move your post to this forum so users could reply to it. I'm not sure why, but questions posted in that forum cannot be replied to.

    To answer your question, they are saved directly in your AVG folder. I use AVG Pro and I just verified this as new updates were just released this morning for the files upd_vers.cfg, microavi.avg, and incavi.avm. I note in my AVG folder, those three files have brand new timestamps.

    Also, if your AVG is not up to date, your AVG tray icon will change from yellow-black-green-red checkerboard to gray-grayish one. In this case, when you hover your mouse over that icon, it'll display warning message. Depending on your AVG options configuration, you may also see warning balloon message.
