    New to wifi

    Hi,

    I want to go wireless on my laptop but haven't got a clue what I need to do.

    I have read about cards that go in the laptop and also wireless routers, which do I need?

    Plus do I need to inform my ISP that I'm going wireless?

    Once I have all the equipment, how do I set it up.

    Once I'm all set up, that means I can use the laptop anywhere in the house, including the garden?

    Sorry for all the questions. Any more help/info would be great.

    Hi and welcome to D-A-L

    your laptop may be wireless enabled you'll need a wireless router.

    how do you cooonect to the internet now,cable or phone line?

    you don't need to inform your ISP you'r egoing wireless.

    make sure you've got security enabled otherwise anyone within range will be able to use your internet connection
