Lose internet when phone in use?
Have recently signed up for tiscali broadband/telephone package,but find that I sometime lose PPP link and/or internet connection if a landline phone is used.connection is re-established a few minutes after phone hung up,(Am using a Netgear DG834PN router,which was working o.k until got telephone package) Any Ideas ?

have you got filters on all the phones?

Thanks Brain Damage,but yes all phones have filters,was already on broadband,but problem didn"t arise until I upgraded to tiscali phone package.Could it be router needs tweaking in some way? or do I need to contact Tiscali? Many thanks anyway ,Graybo 65.

it could be a Tiscalli problem if all worked fine before.
are you using a cordless phone?
are you connected wireless or with wires?

Thanks Brain Damage, Yes I do have a cordless phone on my desk, other phones are wired! My P.C is connected through router to telephone line,
(wireless is NOT enabled). Once again thanks for assistance, Graybo65.

dont kno if this will help u but one of ur phones cud be causin u 2 lose connection ( my sister had the same problem so i unplugged her phone upstairs then it all worked fine)

graybo65 try disconnecting the cordless phone and putting a wired phone in its place, some cordless phones work in the 2.4GHz frequency the same as wireless network frequency
