Stupid Question
when im typing anything on my laptop the little blinky line (lack of better words) moves all over my sentence when im trying to type and i can't type straight i always have to go back and fix it. Also, if i have more then one tab at the bottom they will jump around in the middle of typing aswell.
Is this supposed to happen?

No this should not happen.
If this is a new problem you could try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem.
start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

ive only had this laptop for about 2 months, is this a common problem? will i loose data if i use system restore?

Not common to my experience.
System Restore would only remove any programs installed in the interim of the date you choose. It simply restores the registry not the entire system.
Did this problem just start. Was everything fine yesterday? Or the day before?
System Restore allows you to choose a date to go back to.
If you have always had this problem you might want to consider using your warranty.
