    Can't Download!!!

I am using XP and I can not download anything (Including xp updates, drivers, the works) from anywhere on the web. Every time I do I get an error saying the file is corrupt and to please try again.

I installed a new partition of windows xp thinking it would fix it however it didn't.
I now have three different installs of windows xp on my machine but that shouldn't stop me from being able to download anything... Like I said, it does download but it is always corrupt even if I use internet explorer or firefox.

Any suggustions you have would be appreciated!

    Thanks.

Are you running Windows XP Professional with Encrypted File System switched on?

Try a popular free download such as Adobe Reader 8.1 from www.adobe.com but choose the option to Run it rather than Save it. When you try to run the installer from the web site, it will still have to create some temporary files on your hard disk. It would be useful to know whether it the installer is able to create these files (which it won't ask or tell you about) and, therefore, whether you are only having trouble when you have to specify the filepath \ filename yourself.

No I was unable to download the adobe program... However I was able to dowload your hardware scan listed in your sig.

I also tried to download the new version of internet explorer... it downloaded but once again it said the file was corrupt.

I believe I am running windows XP home edition.
