Is there any way to stop people from tracing e-mails back to your computer? If so, please tell me. Btw, how could they find out who lives at your house too? There is no personal stuff on my computer(Taxes,Etc....)

I am not sure what you mean here. But you can always use a web based email system, like Google's Gmail or Yahoo mail. As for how they can find out who lives at your house, some specifics may help. The IP address your ISP assigned to you can be traced to the ISP, and they know where you live, and who's name is on the account. But not who lives there. Is there any way to stop people from tracing e-mails back to your computer?
Certainly if someone in your house entered that information in MySpace or some other unsecured site, then it could be discovered easily.
One thing you might do is enter your name (and user names you have used) in Google and see what comes up.
Are you using a firewall? A router?
Yes I'm using a firewall, I'm not using a router, and i have a yahoo account. That's the one they traced.
I guess I am not sure exactly what you are saying here. Generally speaking, someone would have to get a court order and have the cooporation of Yahoo to get your IP address - IP, not home. But even then, I don't see Yahoo doing that without a court order.
With your IP address, the address assigned to you by your ISP (Internet Service Provider), your street address could be determined by the ISP, but again, I don't see your ISP giving that out to just any one. It would have to be to law enforcement and with a court order or proof of some eminent danger.
Please be more specific about what happened, then maybe I can offer some sort of explanation, and what you can do about it.
Also, do other people have access to your computer?
Do other people know your user name and password?
Is your Yahoo user name the same as your real name?
Do you log into your Yahoo account from public computers? By public, I mean at libraries, coffee houses, Internet Cafes, etc?
Have you searched with Google for your user name and real name to see what is already out there?
What country do you live in?
What other security software are you using? Have you completed a thorough malware/spyware scan of your computer? If your computer has been infected with spyware, personal information, keystrokes, email addresses, and files could have been compromized my bad guys.
It wasn't law enforcement I know that, no my account name isn't the same as my real name, I don't login to my account on public computers, no one knows my password, 4 other people have access to my computer all of them are family, i googled my name and account name and nothing came up, And I don't think I'm using any other security programs. Here's what happened. I sent an e-mail to my friend and at school the next day(I'm 16) he said I traced the e-mail to my computer. I had made a new account under a different name than mine. How he found out that i lived here is beyond me because the house is listed under a different last name than mine(divorce). He doesn't know the last name, only mine.

In that case, I don't believe it! I think he's just messing with your head. If he found out where you live, it because he asked some one else who knows.
