Ie7
IE7 has been shutting down recently a lot. I bring it up and go somewhere, or try to, and a box comes up telling me it has a problem and must shut down immediately. This has happened 7 times in the last 24 hours. Anybody else having trouble?

Does it give anymore details i.e. the file/dll that may be causing the problem.
Is it a certain site or can it occur on all sites ?
Post a few more details if poss.

Usually a few minutes into the time on the web, a box comes up explaining that IE7 has encountered an error and has to shut down. Also, it is nearly impossible to shut it down with the x in the corner. This happened as I am trying to shift to another company with DSL instead of a cable modem. It has been happening with their design of IE7.

This is BellSouth, the new AT&T, which may be the problem. Is anybody else having trouble switching to BellSouth?

I've been on BellSouth (now again AT&T) for 10 years.
Never had a problem and don't today. They have nothing to do with IE7 or any programs per se. They are just supplying the lines of communication.
You might try a System Restore or re-install IE7.
Check your Event Viewer for more details on the errors.

1) How to do a system restore?
2) How to reinstall IE7? This is a special version of IE7 with a whole extra line put in by BellSouth, that is not on the IE& browser provided by Microsoft. How to get rid of it?
3) How to check event viewer?
-
1) start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
2) IE7 is provided by Microsoft and not BellSouth. BellSouth is just giving you a DSL internet connection. If you could provide more details as to what the issue is or what you think BellSouth has to do with IE7 it might help us help. IE7 can be uninstalled from start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. It can be reinstalled by going to start > All Programs > Windows Update
3)Check your Event Viewer via Administrative Tools.
Open the System as well as Application tabs and look for red X errors that coincide with your problem. Details here:
