Jajah
Jajah is a Firefox addon which supposedly enables me to make telephone calls anywhere in the world at low cost. It's kind of like Skype, but there's a couple of things about it I don't understand or like. So I haven't actually used it yet.
One of the things I don't like is that every damned date on this forum has now got a purple line underneath it. When I run the cursor over it, the message comes up 'Click to call this number with Jajah.' Hello? A date is not a phone number! It worries me that the programme can't make this distinction.
Also, I'm not too clear on how I pay for my phone calls when payment is required. 'Make calls for free or next to free' sounds like it just might be salespersonspeak for 'Open your wallet, sucker.'
I'd be happy to hear from anyone who's using Jajah though and learn what they think.
Thanks.

I had never heard of it until you mentioned it. It appears (after a quick google) that the old version has been around for a while and people seemed happy with it. The new version however seems to be annoying people and some are having trouble removing it from their pcs. link

Thanks, Jaynee. I followed that link, and followed the instructions there. I've removed the toolbar and the purple lines.
I may give the prog a test run with a call to a friend in Melbourne; I'll post the results here, also I'll keep an eye out for any new weirdness on the computer.
