Is this on every image or do you see some and not others? ( I suspect the latter)

Check if you have Adobe Flash installed on your system (in WinXP ControlPanel>Add or Remove Programs)

no adobe flash.....player ?infact no adobe at all have you got a link and yes on most images

Have you tried temporarily disabling kaspersky to see if it's that causing the problem?

yes ive disabled and still the same its like theres a hidden pop-up blocker ?

Things to try:

Hold the Control Key and press refresh.
Restore the default Hosts file.
Don't blame IE if only happens with one site.
Do you have any added toolbars - Google, Yahoo - they have blockers
