Ie Crashes
Last night, at my home desktop, I updated to IE 7 and SP2 is already on my computer. But after I restarted, my internet browser only stays up for 5 seconds and I'm looking back at the desktop again. I've tried several times, but to no avail. I'm currently working from my computer in my office. What is going on with my computer? Ever since I've been asked to update something, it's always a problem afterwards. I am hoping I can get some help on this issue, I would really appreciate it.
One more thing though: I tried to restore my computer to see if that was the problem, but NEVER can I restore my computer at all...why?

Re-set System Restore by right clicking My Computer then click Properties then System Restore.
Turn it off. Then turn it back on. This should clear the past and re-set for the future.
I would suggest uninstalling then re-installing IE7. You can unistall it via Control Panel > Add/Remove programs.
When you reinstall turn off your anti-virus software.
And speaking of that: do you run regular anti-virus and malware scans?

Yes, I do use scanners often. Can you direct me as how to turn off my anti-virus software before reinstalling? I run Ad-Aware SE Personal, CCleaner, and have Windows One Care on my computer. Do I have to turn off my firewall as well? I see IE 7 has lots of problems...why is that? If I could totally go back to internet 6 I would, but my computer wont let me. Please guide me to correct this problem, I don't enjoy using Firefox. Thank you in advance.

If you right click the Windows One Care icon in the System Tray there should be an option to disable it. Or perhaps open the command center to do so. I am not familiar with WOC in particular.
I have had no problems with IE7. Most issues reflect other problems.
What happens when you try to uninstall IE7?
Also you might want to read this post and consider posting a log into that section of the forum:

I followed the link's directions. When I tried to uninstall IE7 the first time, I didn't get the option of rolling back to 6, it just got rid of the internet totally. I reinstalled, but to no avail, my browser will not stay up no longer than 5 seconds. You speak of other problems I may have, what could those be?

I would bump your thread in the HijackThis section and see if there is any more advise there. It must have been overlooked the last time.
If they give you an all clear then please return to this thread.
