I am sick to death of flash adverts on a couple of sites I go on. Ad block doesn't work for them and I have tried to block them in firefox settings but they still get through. I don't mind a few adverts as I know sites have to be paid for but these ones take ages to load and take over the webpage if you accidently hover over them.
I have just finished a months free trial of ad muncher which was brilliant... so good I am considering buying it, but before I do I wondered if there is anything out there on the interweb that does the job for free.

Which version of Firefox do you have?

Have you tried this : NOScript ?

Have a try of it and see how it goes. Its a Firefox extension that is customizable, although it may be a pain at the start. For me it was much better than AdBlock, as AdBlock has many conflict issues with other extensions and media playing in FF2 usually.

I have been testing it out for the last hour and none of the dreaded adverts have got through. It was easy to allow youtube through and once I got rid of the annoying bar thing at the bottom of the page it's just fine.
Is it a new add-on? I thought I was familiar with all that were available but obviously not.
