For the past couple of weeks, I have had the following problem. Every time I use Ctrl+F (IE's "Find" text function), I get the following error message:



IE Version: 6.0.2900.2180
OS: XP 5.1 (Build 2600)

I have already disabled Script Debugging in Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced. This problem does not occur with Mozilla Firefox and does not occur on my laptop.

I would suggest updating to IE 7

But that error is a shell error and you might find the culprit with this tool:

Pink entries are third party add ons and can be turned off to see if this resolves the issue.

Any Red entries are malicious and should be deleted.

Thanks. The culprit was AdsCleaner. I disabled all of its shell extensions, and "Find" works just fine.
