I am having a problem with my favorites not opening. When I click on them it does nothing. I right click on one that does not work and it seems like they are losing there Web Document status. Is anybody else having this problem?
Is there a fix or workaround? This is happening quite often.

IE 7 Final

I think this may be a problem with install of IE 7 trying to convert IE 6 favorites. I had alot of favorites that the icons were not converted to the defaut path in IE 7 (sytem32/url.dll ).
They were still looking for the icon path of IE 6 (system32/shell32.dll) where there is no default IE 7 url icons.

I've installed IE 7 on several machines and the Favorites all transfer automatically and without error.

I am a bit confused when you use the word Icon. In general the Icons would have no affect on the behavior of the URL.

Anyway you might try this generic fix:

To resolve this problem in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

1. Quit all programs that are running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll and then click OK.
4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.
If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll while maintaining the regsvr32 prefix with each of the file names below):

• Shdocvw.dll
• Actxprxy.dll
• Oleaut32.dll
• Mshtml.dll
• Browseui.dll
• Shell32.dll
