After using Advanced System Optimizer I am now unable to open ANY web pages in IE Opera or Firefox and I get Page Unavailable message and it also mentions something about a lost socket. Did System Restore to no avail. Avast AV updates fine and I can send and receive eMail fine. I am on broadband and use Sygate Firewall. My other computer on same router works fine. Any thoghts on subject.

Did not that program create any backup?

The verbatim error message might be usefull.
