I have exactly the same problem. Did anyone ever solve it? Using IE 6. Have done all my housekeeping i.e. clearing history, cache, offline content etc. But some websites still there and can't delete them from history. Right-clicking on them says they are internet shortcuts. How can I get rid of them?

THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTION. I RAN PRIVACY KEEPER - THERE ARE STILL A NUMBER OF SITES WHICH ARE THERE ON TOOLBAR DESPITE HAVING DONE THE USUAL HOUSEKEEPING, DELETING HISTORY ETC. I'VE TRIED FIND THEM IN REGEDIT BUT CAN'T FIND THEM THERE EITHER. ANY IDEAS ON HOW I CAN GET RID OF THESE ADDRESSES (INTERNET LINKS)
