    Angry BT Modem Lock

    This programme is driving me mad. I have my Dads old computer which has this BT Modem Lock programme on it. I have installed my own modem and stuff which is with BT yahoo. Its all set up and works but i have to keep unlocking the modem lock. I cannot uninstall it as it says its running, watchdog kicks in if i try and do anything with modem lock. and i cant sort it out to accept my new connection.
    How do i either get it to accept my connection or get rid of the programme off my computer.
    Please help its driving me mad!!

    The Modem Lock is to prevent a premium rate rogue dialler from accessing the internet.


    by googling I found this

    This is what I got BT concerning modem lock. Double click on the BT Internet icon form desktop. In the 'Connecting to BT internet window, click on the 'Configure' button and select 'Configure Modem Lock (Modem Protection)' tab from the drop down menu.

    This wil open up the 'BT Modem Lock Configuration' window.

    Here, untick the option 'Enable BT Modem Lock for modem protection '(recommended)'

    Click on 'Apply' and click on 'OK'

    The above steps would disable the BT Modem Lock.
