    IE Problems

My friend is having problems with her IE and rang me up so apologies that this problem is being re-told second hand.

She says that for about a week not when she started IE she got a message about "Toolbar File failed to initialise" but she could still use IE.However now she keeps getting the message generic host in WIN 32 needs to shut this program down.

I've so far advised her to run a virus scan and I'm waiting to call her back later today to see if that throws anything up, if not I was going to suggest re-installing/updating IE.But does anyone have a better suggestion as I'm really just fumbling in the dark trying to diagnose and fix this over the phone.

the other odd thing she said is when she starts the computer up at the windows load, i assume she meant after she has logged in and the start up load begins, she gets a message saying "ogbdyx has failed." I've never heard of this so any ideas?

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

    Otherwise:

As a first response you might want to post a HijackThis log for review by our Pros in that section:

    (Not in this section please).

Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.
