I've heard many various thoughts on both of these internet explorer applications. I currently have IE7, but I was wondering what the experts thought about the whole situation.

Please give me advantages and disadvantages of both internet explorers, as I want to know which one is best.

I'd tried both of them out, but it's way too much hassle. I may as well ask the experts.

I've tried all three (IE, Firefox and Opera) at various times oscillating between them all just for a change. But I feel I have to come down in favour of IE now it has tabbed pages which until then made me stick with one of the other two.

Now all three have tabs, but IE starts up much faster than the other two - much faster. Opera is supposed to be speed king at loading pages but it's startup time is painfully slow, Firefox only marginally better.

As for security, I've never had my IE home-page 'hijacked' or otherwise attacked, as I make sure my security is good and up to date. Also, IE handles plug-ins better. They work without having to jump through hoops like you have to with some plug-ins in the other two browsers. That's their main weakness in my opinion.

I've no axe to grind with Microsoft. Now IE7 has tabs and has a faster startup time than the others, it suits me fine.

i have fire fox i think its the best of them

it blocks most of popups and has better security

Firefox most of the time, but IE has access to some sites that Firefox can't get - ewido online scan, for instance.
