    Little or No Connectivity

    Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum so forgive me if this question has been asked before.

Just recently, I have purchased broadband for my home. With it I have received a wireless router.

After I had connected everything (as stated on the instructions), I tried to get into the internet explorer but was unable to. Although my connection shows that I have an excellent signal, it states that I have "little or no connectivity".

    What have I done wrong??

As I'm not exactly the best with computers, could someone give me a step by step guide on what to do.

Again, sorry if this has been asked before.

    Hi and welcome to D-A-L

when you set up the router did you use an ethernet cable to set it up

what security are you using, is the firewall stopping it?

Yes, I used an ethernet cable to set it up.

    The Security is Norton Anti-virus.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
do you have problems if you use a cable?

has the wireless router got the security set?

do you know the IP address of the router (it will be something like 192.168.1.1)
