    Certain websites are screwed up

From November 2005 through July 18, 2006 I was using AOL Dial Up. I finally decided to upgrade to Broadband through out local cable company.

They came out and installed the broadband for me. With the new service, to get onto the internet, I need to go through Internet Explorer.

I have probably 20 sites that I frequent. Now that I am using Broadband, I am finding some fields within just about every website with an "X". These are typically icons that I need to click to get further within the site.

Any idea what may be causing this, and what I can do to fix it?

    Thanks.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
First off try clicking Tools on the top bar of IE. Then Internet Options.

Open the Security tab and set Security level to Default.

    Apply > OK > etc.

Next open the Privacy tab and set Settings to Default.

    Apply > OK > etc.

Next go to Advanced and Restore Defaults

    Apply > OK > etc.

After this close and then restart IE. If the problem persists let us know plus please post your Operating System including Service Pack as well as any Firewall and Anti-Virus. Also a link to a site that you are having problems with might help.
