if i have an IE window open and i open another IE by relauching from start or quick launch or anywhere, the first window will close immediatly after the new one comes up. this also happens if i click a link that generates a new window. it doesn't happen on small popups just full browsers.

i have zone alarm, avg, spybot, and ad-aware. none of them have found any problems. i also have a hijack this log if that will help. also there is not a popup blocker on this computer that i know of, other than IE's built in. makes me think it's not that anyway because it always closes the old window not the new one.

also im on xp with service pack 2 on a pIII 944mhz with 256ram

so i just uninstalled everything having to do with att/yahoo dsl programs and now i can have two windows open at the same time!

how stupid is that?
