'Cannot Find Server' homepage & others
I couldn't find a similar thread for this. I am connected to net via a wireless Belkin router. My isp is NTL and is rarely a problem.
I have Norton, AdAware, Spybot, Ewido installed. If I click on internet the homepage (google) will not load - it comes up with Cannot Find Server. This happens on other sites too. Some work fine, others (e.g. hotmail, yahoo, ebay etc.) don't.
Problem #2: On some sites, if i type in, say, www.msn.com, it will come up with www.www.msn.com.org and take me to a dodgy search page for www.org or something.
I've tried bypassing the router but the same thing happens.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Although not an answer to the problem I hope it helps to say I, and several friends, are having the same problem.
We are all on XP Home and unable to access many webpages, notably our respective homepages, google, yahoo, MSN. Wehn trying to check if it is a virus via macafee web address I was mysteriously diverted to a red screen with a large link saying simly "VIRUS ALERT" on hovering over this link I noticed a very dodgy looking address so went no further.
None of us can access MSN Messenger now, apart fromn those who have not closed it since before the "incident".
The incident we believe has something to do with it is that at one point yesterday our Myspace home pages indicated there were email messages, when we clicked on the "New Messages" icon it simply disappeared and on checking our respective inboxes there were no new messages. Myspace is working perfectly well now but there must be some connection with this incident and the resultant fallout!?!?
Hope this helps and happy to answer any more questions if anyone wants to get to the bottom of this.
