What is your operating system and service pack level?
What is/are the verbatim error messages? If there is a Details box on the error box click it.
If you are running XP you could try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem.
Also: look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id & Description especially of errors that seem to coincide with this issue.
Also check the Information lines that might coincide with this issue.
How to view and manage event logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

My opperating system -Windows XP
Service pack level - ?
What is/are the verbatim error messages
AppName: firefox.exe AppVer: 1.8.20060.42618 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00011f6c
i did the Event viewer thing. and there is over 300 things with X(errors)
-
Service Pack is either SP1 or SP2; look here: start/Run winver
The Event Viewer is timed. Recreate the error and note the time. Then recheck your Event Viewer for that time.
Also as a quick fix:
Try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:
start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
-
Microsoft Windows
Version 5.1 (build 2600.xpsp_sp_gdr.050301-1519 : Service Pace 2
-
i went to a site with a video and it put an X -error in the event viewer under Application
-
That is the latest service pack. OK.
What was the Event ID; the Event Source; the Event Description?
Right click the Event Error and choose Properties if these are not posted otherwise.
Just to reiterate:
For a quick fix:
Try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:
start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
click the < on the calender to go back to April.
-
system restore will only let me bring it back to May 9th.
And I still had the problem then.

pavlsp.dll is a file of Panda Anti Virus and is causing this particular error.
You can try to recreate it over and over and try IE as well to see if pavlsp.dll is always faulted.
That being said:
