    IE Not Connecting / WIFI

Im having a problem at particular WIFI spot. I am able to connect to the network and IE will show "detecting proxy settings" but Im continually getting the "page cannot be displayed" message. My friends have no trouble at all connecting so Im thinking its a setting some where. So far I have tried setting all the levels to low in IE>tools>Internet Options>security , I have deleted all index.dat files and disabled my firewall, still no luck. Tried using Firefox with out sucess.
Im using XP with a Belkin network card.
    Any help would be apprecieated.
    Thanks
    John

Is this just this one spot? Does the laptop work OK elsewhere?

Your Proxy settings > Tools > Internet Options > Connection > LAN settings

unclick everything there if anything is clicked.
