    Unhappy What's script blocking?

    Hi there

I'm trying to post a new thread in a chat forum (other than DAL that is!) and IE keeps on throwing up an error window telling me I need to disable script blocking software.

What is it and how do I disable it???

I've had a google around and can't seem to find a definitive answer.

So far, I have added the URL of the website to my "always allow" list and checked that "disable script debugging" is checkboxed.

Can someone tell me what I need to do next please?

    Cheers Jane

This may well be an issue of the forum rather than of your browser.

    I do see this post:

As the error message suggests 'you may need to disable script blocking software on your PC'

This is because the script blocker in Norton and/or MacAffee that blocks the the javascript used in the RTE from running.

The solution is either get your users to disable the script blocking software, or disable the RTE by editing their forum profile.

Script Blocker..This module watches all scripts being executed in the operating system (so-called WSH scripts - Windows Scripting Host), and scans all the scripts run as a part of a web page within your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and Mozilla).Hope i helped..
