I entered a couple of Rugby League tipping Comps,no problems with entering tips for the first 3weeks - now I can't open the selection pages?

Delete Temp files and Cookies via Tools > Internet Options > General

were the temp files/cookies over loaded?

Could have been some type of constipation or a cookie might have set in such a way that it blocked renewal.
