Port scan attacks
I keep getting a message from my firewall (sygate) that a Port Attack Scan has been logged. I immediately log off and on again, and on checking the IP address it is some company in China. Are these dangerous? I am still running IE5 and SP1 on XP. Apart from upgrading to SP2 and IE6, is there any way to block these?

The fact that Sygate picked it up I presume means that it is blocking it.
