hi my internet ex 6 keeps closing it has the option to send an error report but the last month this is what the error is known as

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module shdocvw.dll, version 6.0.2900.2805, fault address 0x00018d20.

it just pops up saying internet explorer has encountered a problem and need to close
it is soooo annoying
i have mcfee and spybot shows nothing ???

Click Tools > Internet Options > Programs

Click the button to Manage Add-ons then start selectively disabling them until the browser acts properly.

You might start with those listed as Browser Helper Objects then Browser Extensions and so forth.

Any site that requires these will reload them as needed.

Also delete all the Temporary Internet Files and History under the General tab.

Do it now. Then let us know if the problem returns. There are other options as this is a fairly common issue.
