What are the verbatim error messages? e.g. Network Error: Connection Reset By Peer?

Also have you tried turning off PeerGuardian?

You reinstalled XP but the same issue occurs?

What is your exact connection configuration? Network etc.?

You say only certain pages? Always the same pages? Is this just a few pages?

Been browsing these searches: Connection Reset Errors ~browse along

    http://groups.google.com/group/micro...t+error&qt_g=1

And these for Blank Page Done:

So we can eliminate IE as the source. Can we eliminate XP? Same issue before & after a reinstall? Is this correct?

Somewhere there must be a block listing these sites.

Have you tried using another account/ user?

What security software are you running at this time? Could the block be in those settings?

Are you part of a network? If so can other computers access these sites? Is there a blocking mechanism at the router/ Access Point level?

More searching... The one thread mentions active content pages being the issue & also the ipconfig tool. Also it raises the question: Did you install SP2? Can you get to Windows Update? If not you can download SP2 here:
